The Malaysian Society of Interventional Radiology
and the College of Radiology, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia are honoured and
privileged to play host for the 8th Asia Pacific Congress of Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology
(APCCVIR) in Kuala Lumpur.
On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to
the Meeting which will be held from 9th – 12th June 2008.
This congress is organised under the umbrella of
Asia Pacific Society of
Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR) and it is co-sponsored by
the
Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the
Cardiovascular
Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE).
APCCVIR is a biennial exercise and we hope it can be an occasion to promote
vascular, neurovascular and interventional radiology in the Asia Pacific region;
to keep local and regional medical fraternities abreast of the latest
developments, applications and treatment options; to enhance the collaboration
among the Asia-Pacific interventionalists, as well as to provide a platform for
the regional and world experts to share their experiences and to promote
networking.
We are delighted to have a strong faculty consisting of many luminaries from
various parts of the world, both regional (Asia Pacific) and across the
continents from the USA and Europe. Many of them have traveled thousands of
miles here to contribute and to share their experiences. On behalf of the
organizing committee, I would like to thank every one of them for their kind
efforts, commitment and time, in making this congress a great success and an
academically rewarding exercise.

We also would like to thank you for joining us in Kuala Lumpur for this exciting Congress. Kuala Lumpur is a bustling metropolis endowed with a diversity of cultures, traditions and entertainment.
